Climate Tech Start Up Greenspark Wins Best ESG Solution in Payments at MPE Berlin

17.04.2025

We’re thrilled to share that Greenspark was awarded Best ESG Solution in Payments at the MPE conference in Berlin this March. This recognition marks an exciting milestone in their journey to embed sustainability into key business touch points and their recent growth and interest within the payments space.

As an early investor, it’s been incredible to witness Greenspark’s continued expansion since our initial participation in their £1mn financing round in 2022. Today, Greenspark helps over 750 companies take climate-positive action by enabling their clients to embed sustainable environmental impact -like tree planting and ocean plastic rescue -into any business transaction such as per order, sign up or payment.

With claims on ‘Greenwashing’ sadly abundant in the industry, Greenspark distinguishes itself by offering a data-driven approach providing visible, verifiable and trackable climate impact. Leveraging over 40 technologies in collaboration with project partners, Greenspark continuously monitors and verifies impact through hundreds of real-time data points. This rigorous tracking ensures transparency, allowing investors, stakeholders, and businesses to assess and share measurable results with confidence.

Furthermore, Greenspark’s Impact-as-a-Service platform continues to demonstrate that doing good for the planet is also good for business, with customers reporting increases in customer loyalty, engagement, conversion and ROI. Several case studies support this, such as sustainable jewelry brand Nikita who reported a +23% increase in revenue after integrating Greenspark’s climate solution.
